Summary
Democratic Majority for Israel (DMFI) is seeking motivated, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic interns to work with our Development Department. Interns will act as integral members of our team and work directly with staff to contribute meaningfully to our fundraising, donor engagement, and outreach efforts. Candidates should possess an interest in fundraising, communications, and building relationships to support the mission of a strong U.S.-Israel relationship within the Democratic Party. This will be an excellent opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain experience in political and nonprofit fundraising. Internship start and end dates are flexible. and interns can expect to work remotely.

Development Intern Core Responsibilities
Support the Development Department by:
- Providing research support on donor prospects, events, and fundraising trends.
- Helping to maintain and update donor databases and records daily, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
- Assisting with donor outreach, such as emails and social content.
- Supporting data cleanup and analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Assisting with event planning and coordination, including logistics, invitations, and follow-ups.
- Drafting memos, summaries, and reports related to development initiatives.
- Assisting on special projects as needed.
Development Intern Requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independently.
- Interest in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, and event planning.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with donor databases (preferred but not required).
- Professionalism, creativity, and a sense of humor.
Compensation
Interns for Democratic Majority for Israel are paid $17.50/hour.
