Today, after the House of Representatives passed the Inflation Reduction Act, which now heads to the President’s desk for signature, Democratic Majority for Israel president and CEO Mark Mellman released the following statement:
“Today House Democrats joined the Senate in passing an historic measure that will hold down prescription drug costs, boost the economy, combat the climate crisis, and help the American people.
“The past two years have been one of the most productive in legislative history as the President and Congressional Democrats have passed key laws to lower costs, create more American jobs, fix our roads and bridges, implement common sense gun safety reforms and support our veterans.
“We applaud President Biden, Vice President Harris and Congressional Democrats for their leadership and for delivering on their promises to improve the lives of all Americans.”
