Today, DMFI Board Co-Chairs Ann Lewis and Todd Richman and DMFI President Mark Mellman made the following statement:
“Wartime is the wrong time to be playing domestic politics in Israel and the U.S.
Democratic Majority for Israel has stood for a two-state solution since its inception, and continues to do so. While Palestinian terrorism has likely pushed that goal farther into the future, Prime Minister Netanyahu’s statement ruling it out forever is both morally wrong and damaging to Israel’s cause.
However, American politicians who are willing to put Israel at risk because of the current Prime Minister’s inappropriate statement are pursuing a course that is unwise and counterproductive.”
