Voters should see right through Musk’s attempt at manipulation and reject it
Democratic Majority for Israel President & CEO Mark Mellman issued the following statement after reports that an Elon Musk funded Super PAC is microtargeting Jewish and Muslim voters with contradictory ads about Vice President Kamala Harris’ record on Israel:
“We’ve long known Elon Musk is divisive and deceitful. But the cynical political games his PAC is playing in Michigan have reached new lows and are among the most reprehensible I’ve seen. Directing ads to Arab Americans in Michigan charging Vice President Harris is too pro-Israel, while at the same time directing ads to Jews in Michigan saying she is insufficiently pro-Israel, is indecent and dishonest.
“Voters should see right through Musk’s attempt at manipulation and reject it. Muslims and Jews, Democrats and Republicans should come together to condemn this dishonest and divisive behavior. Donald Trump must disavow it.
“We recognize that Vice President Kamala Harris is a strong pro-Israel candidate and that Donald Trump, like his billionaire benefactor and our national malefactor, Mr. Musk, is far too dishonest and divisive to occupy any office of public trust, let alone the highest office in the land. Throughout her career, Vice President Harris has been a friend of Israel and the Jewish people and we are proud to support her because of that long record and because she is the only candidate whose character renders her fit for the office.”
