In response to Secretary of State Pompeo’s announcement regarding West Bank settlements, Democratic Majority for Israel released the following statement:
“Democratic Majority for Israel is strongly committed to a two-state solution that gives Israelis and Palestinians peace, security and sovereignty. As both Democratic and Republican administrations have recognized for decades, a two-state solution will require “land swaps,” with precise borders negotiated between Israelis and Palestinians. U.S. policy should work to bring the parties closer to a two-state solution. Unfortunately, Secretary Pompeo’s announcement moves us farther away from it.”
