Jerry Yanowitz spent more than 30 in senior executive corporate government relations positions in the telecommunications industry including with the California Cable and Telecommunications Association and the National Cable and Telecommunications Association. His work included advocacy on the Hill, the Federal Communications Commission, and other agencies. Prior to the telecommunications industry Jerry worked for California Speaker of the Assembly Leo McCarthy, where his responsibilities included policy analysis, speech writing, and campaign work.
As a volunteer Jerry currently serves on the Boards of the Bay Area Jewish Community Relations Council, J Weekly, Bay Area Jewish Action, and the Contra Costa Jewish Community Center. His past affiliations include serving on the Executive Committee of Jewish Federations of North America, President of the East Bay Jewish Federation, and member of the Board and Executive Committee of the Jewish Federation Bay Area.
Jerry has a BA from Antioch College, received a Coro Fellowship in Public Affairs and is a Wexner Heritage program alumni.
