Washington, D.C. (November 15, 2021) — Following President Biden’s signing of the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act into law today, Democratic Majority for Israel President and CEO released the following statement:
“We applaud President Biden for keeping his commitment to bridge the partisan divide and deliver for the American people. This historic infrastructure package — supported by members of both parties, including nearly every Democratic member of Congress — offers a once-in-a-generation investment in modernizing bridges, roads, and railways while providing clean drinking water for every American. By providing funding for solar panels, wind farms, electric vehicles, and charging stations, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal also moves us toward the clean energy economy critical for combatting the climate crisis. This law also makes high-speed internet affordable and available for households across the country, while creating good-paying jobs as the nation continues to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
“After four years of bluster and failure from President Trump and the Republicans, President Biden has succeeded in passing a law that will create jobs and ensure a brighter future for America. Our unique politcal system makes it hard to get things done, but once again President Biden has confounded his critics and proven his mastery of our unruly politics.
