As Vice President JD Vance addresses the Republican National Committee Midterm Convention tonight, Democratic Majority for Israel is running targeted digital ads across mobile devices and websites in Dallas, raising questions about Vance’s alliance with Tucker Carlson and his conditional support for Israel.
“JD Vance may be in a room of supporters, but that does not mean he should be allowed to avoid answering serious questions. Vance’s continued attacks toward Israel, failure to acknowledge rising antisemitism within the MAGA movement, and alliances with antisemitic figures like Tucker Carlson are disqualifying,” said DMFI President and CEO Brian Romick. “Voters deserve clear answers. Vance’s avoidance raises serious questions about his reliability and judgment.”
DMFI continues to raise awareness on Vance’s record and troubling remarks, from his address late last month at the Republican Jewish Coalition Summit where he refused to disavow Tucker Carlson, to his decision as senator to oppose emergency aid to Israel in the aftermath of the October 7 terrorist attacks.
Take a look at some of his concerning comments from this summer alone:
- August 19, 2026: Vance hosted a fundraiser in Southampton, N.Y., at the home of Omeed Malik, a close friend and supporter of Tucker Carlson.
- July 30, 2026: During a meeting at Blair House, Vance said he believed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was using his allies in Israel and the U.S. to attack him and undermine him politically.
- July 15, 2026: On the Israeli government and MOU negotiations, the VP said: “when I open up the pages of Time Magazine and I see that there’s a literal foreign influence campaign being funded to tank the very deal that I was pursuing, and, oh, by the way, many of the people who were receiving that money were actually attacking me in completely dishonest ways. You know, my response to that is, ‘Well, go to hell.’”

Given his record of controversial remarks and associations, DMFI will be watching Vance’s remarks on Thursday closely, as his prominent role in the Republican Party gives his words significant weight in shaping its message and priorities. His continued refusal to disavow figures who have promoted antisemitic and anti-Israel rhetoric raises serious concerns about how a President Vance would govern.
