Today, Democratic Majority for Israel President & CEO Brian Romick released the following statement as Hamas escalates tensions:
“We’re concerned that Hamas continues to put the ceasefire at risk by firing on Israeli troops in Gaza and delaying the return of the remains of deceased hostages.
“There is no question that this is a fragile moment. President Trump and Arab partners need to work with the parties to get the ceasefire back on track and ensure that there are no more violations. The peace agreement can bring lasting security for Israel, a better future for innocent Palestinians, and greater stability to the entire region. We cannot return to the heartbreak and anguish of the past two years. Now is the time for American leadership.”
