Tell Your Representative: Support the Antisemitism Awareness Act

Antisemitism is on the rise across the United States, especially on college campuses, and it’s time for Congress to act.

The Antisemitism Awareness Act is a key piece of legislation aimed at combating this hate. The bill requires the U.S. Department of Education to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s (IHRA) definition of antisemitism, including examples like applying double standards to Israel, blaming all Jews for Israeli actions, and denying Jews their right to self-determination in their ancestral homeland.

This legislation passed the House with bipartisan support last year but failed to advance in the Senate. Since then, antisemitic incidents have skyrocketed, particularly on campuses where Jewish students face discrimination and violence. In the wake of the October 7th Hamas attacks on Israel, the need for this bill is even more urgent.

The Antisemitism Awareness Act will empower educational institutions to take action and ensure Jewish students are protected from hate. By passing this bill, we send a strong message that antisemitism will not be tolerated in America.

Tell your representative to support the Antisemitism Awareness Act and make sure Jewish students are protected from rising hate on campus.
